For our own website, account administration, security and support records, Company Light may act as a data controller. When we process a business customer's messaging data solely to provide an integration on that customer's instructions, the business customer normally determines the purpose of that processing.

Depending on the service, we may process business contact details, account and authentication identifiers, messaging account identifiers, webhook events, customer-support records, and message or contact data that a business customer has authorised the service to process.

We use this information to provide and secure the requested service, connect approved business messaging accounts, receive and preserve authorised communications, maintain account and webhook status, diagnose faults, support customers and meet legal or record-keeping obligations.

We do not sell customer messaging data or use it for unrelated advertising or profiling.

Data may be processed by platform, hosting, security and workflow providers where necessary to provide the service, including Meta or WhatsApp where a customer chooses to connect a WhatsApp Business account. Those services operate under their own applicable terms and privacy arrangements.

We use access controls, restricted credentials, transport encryption and operational logging designed to protect service data. Credentials and secret values are not intended to be exposed in customer-facing logs.

We keep personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the service, security, support, dispute, legal or accounting purpose for which it is held.

Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, you may have rights to ask for access, correction, restriction, objection, portability or deletion of personal data. Where data is controlled by one of our business customers, we may direct the request to that customer.
